Holistic Strategies for Antiracism and Community Empowerment

This retreat will provide an introduction to an interlocking approach to antiracism in the United States. Utilizing AnaYelsi Velasco Sanchez’s signature methodology, Interlocking Justice, participants will develop a holistic and sustainable approach to identifying and eliminating racism and white supremacy in their community. Participants will engage in discussions with individuals from diverse communities and movements, fostering a cross-pollination of ideas and strategies.Through these interactions, attendees will have the chance to challenge the boundaries of their own movement work and gain new insights and perspectives. Participants should have an understanding of fundamental concepts such as bias, privilege, prejudice, and systemic inequity prior to the start of the cohort.
