DESCRIPTION:On March 12th at 9am EST join us for breakfast at the Festival Center to learn how women workers are building cross-border solidarity to challenge global labor exploitation! Union worker activists from the Fight the Heist campaign will share their work to organize garment factory workers across multiple countries to demand region-wide wage increases and stronger labor rights protections for supply chain workers. We will also be joined by members from the National Domestic Worker Alliance to learn about the key role of domestic workers in the Global Care Chain and to learn how domestic workers in the US are successfully organizing to raise standards in the industry and fight off anti-immigrant and anti-worker attacks.
