Community Organizing Collective

Community Organizing Collective

We were not created to change the world alone. Being a singular activist can lead to frustration and burnout, and often does not bring about the change we seek. Facing injustice and working for concrete change means we must build power to change unjust systems which perpetuate inequality and oppression against people we care about and want to work alongside.

The Community Organizing Collective is for all people who care about those who are treated unjustly and want to do something about it. Changing the world takes work, but it is not as hard as it seems. It always starts with relationships. Participating in community organizing is a calling we all share if we care about people who are oppressed or marginalized.

Together, we will learn the values and principles of community organizing and will begin to adapt them to our community settings. We will collectively reflect on past and current community engagement by participants to see how we can best build broad-base movements among people directly impacted by broken and unjust systems to achieve tangible results that better their lives
