Sandra Miller
She//Her
Sandra Miller, a long time member of Church of the Saviour, moved from California to join Seekers Church. Before relocating she spent most of her working life as a middle manager in a variety of businesses, and has taught cooking classes and cleaned houses as well. Following in her grandmother’s footsteps, she has always been an advocate for those facing challenges in life. Her first intense experience in service to homeless people was as a volunteer in the San Francisco Tenderloin neighborhood. In DC and Maryland, prior to retiring from paid work, her career skills were put to use working in nonprofits that served homeless individuals, including Potter’s House and Joseph’s House, two of the CofS outreach missions. Sandra remains an activist, devoting energy to carceral justice as well as issues of equality, is active at Seekers, and practices her call from the Holy Spirit as an artist and gardener.
